Amber always seems like she is gliding as she walks with her chin up and confident. She has a high self-esteem which can come off as snobby at times because she usually only glances at a person and makes judgment of what kind of person they are, strong or weak. She usually doesn’t care what people think of her, but some people can get under her skin by being clingy or just plain annoying. When that person happens to pass her way she is very cold and harsh to them, some have even reported an eerie chill coming from her as they pass by.
Amber many times is found wandering at night in dark places. She loves to be alone in the dark but she also loves the bustling crowds of the circus when it is time to perform. She though, when stressed or agitated, will often seemingly disappear in the dark and go to a high point where she can look out over the night or in a nearby cemetery or dark scary place where she is able to relax by singing. Her melodies usually hint to her mood. She can make them harsh and mean or sweet and loving or horribly depressing and sad. She tries to hide her moods but she cannot seem to hide anger, though she is trying but you can tell the change in her voice which will change from a smooth purr like sound to a cold and harsh one.
Amber also loves power, not monetary power, though she doesn’t mind a man with big bucks, but physical and mental power. She is extremely attracted to hard working, strong men with defined features such as strong jaw bones and prominent noses or cheekbones. Though she loves power she doesn’t like men who are rude and think they are so much better than others by showing off or being heartless, though she is guilty of this herself.
Amber may seem sweet, for the most part, so it is usually a surprise to anyone wishing to attack her that she is an excellent swords man. Her father works with swords, such as black smithing and fighting with them, so he taught her all he could about swords. One of her favorite things to do is fight with the swords her father made especially for her that can light on fire. Amber loves fire so when her father made these just for her she instantly was willing to learn the art of sword fighting. She became rather good with them so her father let her loose to go and use her new found skills to her hearts desires.
History:
Amber had always loved the circus. Growing up as a child of three her favorite memories where of her parents taking her out on their days off of performing ot show her the circus. Her mother worked as a singer in the circus, later teaching Amber how to sing to her full potential. Her father, however, worked outside the circus as a black smith. He created all sorts of iron and steel works from weapons and armor to decorations. He later taught Amber how to sword fight with her flaming swords her father invented especially for her use.
As Amber developed as a singer and swordsman she realized she had never gone out without her mother’s or father’s watchful eye. Her siblings could go out and do whatever they desired but not her. One night, after a long day alone, she confronted her mother about it when she came back from work. Her mother sighed and sat her down and proceeded to tell her of the supernatural powers Amber possessed. She told her that the dragon blood in her provided the powers to have her singing attract men, and maybe some women. Amber learned her mother had the same powers and she used them as she performed. She wanted to protect Amber from anyone who may hear her singing and take her away. Amber understood the importance of staying inside and did as she was told, not without some griping though, and continued her study.
Later on Ambers parents got into a fight. Ambers mother had attracted a rather dashing young man with her singing and her mother did some things she regretted later. Their family nearly split up due to her mother but her parents worked it out and stayed together. Sadly, however, Amber never really forgave her mother for what she did. Amber still has the hatred in her heart towards her mother, which she tries to hide the best she can but it is still apparent the dislike of her mother when she talks to her.
As Amber grew as a singer she was eager to join the circus and sing for the masses that come to every performance. She practiced long and hard to meet her own expectations of her singing and soon she was singing almost as beautifully as her mother. She happily decided that she would join the circus and perform just like her mother did before her.
